This Sunday March 28th at 2 p.m., Marine Band clarinetist Master Gunnery Sergeant Elizabeth Matera will perform at Carnegie Hall in New York with the University of Central Missouri Wind Ensemble from Warrensburg. Conducted by Dr. Scott Lubaroff, the concert will include Percy Grainger’s “Molly On the Shore,” Ned Rorem’s “Traffic,” and Richard Wagner’s “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral,” from Lohengrin.Master Gunnery Sgt. Matera will perform movements 1 and 4 of Michael Daugherty’s Brooklyn Bridge for solo clarinet and symphonic band. She performed once before at Carnegie Hall with the Marine Band during its 1983 National Concert Tour. “I’m very excited to play this piece at Carnegie Hall with the wind ensemble,” Master Gunnery Sgt.
